VIDEO: Freediving in Fort Lauderdale at Vista Park Reef

This video shows what it’s like to go freediving in Fort Lauderdale at Vista Park Reef.

I could never really get over it – the coral reefs you’d find right from shore in Fort Lauderdale were amazing.

It made no sense.

On one hand, you have a bustling city filled with an immense amount of things to do. Swim 300 feet offshore? An eclectic underwater community filled with reef fish, sharks, sea turtles, shipwrecks, and some of the most vibrant coral reefs in the northern hemisphere.

One of our favorite spots to discover all this life was at Vista Park Reef. It’s one of the best shore dives in town, if not the best.

On this particular day, we took our friends from Yaa Boys spearfishing and freediving on Vista Park Reef. Unfortunately, we didn’t come up with a catch but were grateful to come across some beautiful marine life. See for yourself:
