Key Largo is home to two great dive retail shops:

  • Diver’s Direct: a SCUBA retail megastore in Key Largo. Every diver visiting the area should make a stop here.
  • Scuba Quest Outlet Stores: the first dive store you’ll see when entering the Keys. This chain of stores provides a wide selection of gear, professional development courses, and dive courses through NAUI.

Dive Charters in Key Largo:

Key Largo features many dive charters compared to nearby dive destinations like Islamorada and Fort Lauderdale.

  • Horizon Divers is one of the first locations you’ll see as you drive into the Florida Keys. They run a PADI dive school and are one of the few charters that focus on tech diving in Key Largo.
  • Lucky Fish Scuba is a small operation running up to four divers per charter. Offering a PADI dive school, Lucky Fish Scuba PADI dive school offering referrals, small charter for up to four divers. A great intimate experience. Snorkel or sunset cruises.
  • Island Ventures is a great operation in the heart of Key Largo with a focus on ocean conservation. They limit capacity for divers to ensure plenty of space for an enjoyable experience.
  • Pirates Cove Water Sports is connected to the Marriott in Key Largo. A charter bringing you right to the best coral reefs in the area!

Dive Centers in Key Largo

Most dive centers in Key Largo have shops, charters, and schools all associated within one location.

  • Silent World Dive Center is on the left as you drive into Key Largo. With a PADI dive school, charter boat, and dive shop, this shop is sure to suit all your diving needs.
  • John Pennekamp State Park Dive Shop can be found inside the state park itself. We love diving here as their crew is always friendly and some of their proceeds go back to the state park.
  • Sail Fish Scuba is a relatively new dive center focusing on the customer experience. PADI courses, a dive charter, retail and more. Sail Fish Scuba is sure to make your Key Largo vacation exceptional.
  • Amoray Dive Center is in the middle of a resort. They have dive and stay packages providing you with a discount on your diving if you stay at the resort!
  • Key Largo Dive Center their 34′ boat keeps a maximum of 6 divers for a more intimate experience. Additionally, this dive center is one of the few to offer both PADI and NAUI dive courses.
  • Rainbow Reef Dive Center is the biggest operation in Key Largo. Their staff is knowledgable but this will certainly feel like a commercialized experience. Also, they run a huge dive school with a lot of professional development.
  • Sea Dwellers Dive Center is conveniently located next to the Holiday Inn and Marriott. This locally owned dive center has a charter, PADI dive school, and a small dive shop in Key Largo.
  • Keys Diver Snorkel and Scuba PADI dive school, charter boat, and shop.
  • Sons of Poseidon Tucked away is a dive shop with three small boats. Their PADI dive school is a personalized experience.

Dive Equipment Services:

  • Quiescience Diving Services does a lot of equipment and tank maintenance but also runs a small dive operation. “Dive like a local” is their slogan and we couldn’t agree more!
